Gregory Scott Henson founded IT consultancy The Henson Group, Inc. (THG) in 2000 to provide professional services to an anemic technology sector besieged in the wake of economic recession. Mr. Henson shepherded THG through these uncertain times, which included the devastating and tragic attacks on the World Trade Center, located less than a mile from THG�s first headquarters. Today, the consultancy is a self-sufficient, profitable, award-winning Microsoft Gold Certified Partner that provides a wide variety of services to clients across 20 industries. THG�s success is driven by its successful alignment with Microsoft, where Mr. Henson actually held a number of positions for several years prior to founding THG. Specifically, Mr. Henson served as a Developer Product Support Engineer at Microsoft at Los Colinas, Texas. Subsequently, he was a Support Engineer at MCS (Financial Services Sector) in New York Today, as President, CEO, and Founder of a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, and a former Microsoft engineer, Mr. Henson has a unique perspective on Microsoft�s products, how they are developed, and how they are applied, that very few can match. Most importantly, Mr. Henson possesses a fundamental understanding of the processes associated with applying Microsoft�s technology products to achieve real-world business objectives. As a former lead architect and engineer at Microsoft, Mr. Henson spearheaded several high-level strategic projects in the financial services industry. And, during his tenure at Microsoft, he also authored a number of white papers, as well as over 100 articles on the application of various Microsoft solutions. Prior to founding THG, Mr. Henson served as the Senior Vice President for Business Development at Conchango, another Microsoft Gold Certified Partner based in London, UK. In that position, he negotiated, structured and closed several strategic partnerships that helped to significantly grow Conchango�s financial services practice. Before his success at Conchango, Mr. Henson was the Chief Technology Officer of AtNight Media, which is a provider of personalized, location-based, and real-time wireless applications and content to US/International wireless carriers. Mr. Henson also held various senior level technology positions at Perot Systems Corp., a consulting company based in Dallas, TX,and Biotec Food Corp., based in Honolulu, HI. In addition to his primary duties at The Henson Group, Inc., Mr. Henson is an active member of the International Society for Information Management (ISIM). ISIM is a not-for-profit organization of information technology experts, including CIOs, CTOs, and emerging IT leaders dedicated to raising technology awareness and giving back to local communities. Mr. Henson also serves as a board member for several companies. Drawing upon his extensive knowledge of technology, Mr. Henson has formulated and submitted two patents, is an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) and is a technical author for McGraw Hill. As an expert in Windows Interoperability, Mr. Henson is publishing a book on planning, building, managing and supporting Host Integration Server 2000. That publication is scheduled to be released later this year. Mr. Henson is also currently writing another book which focuses on wireless applications and infrastructure architecture. |
