Current responsibility
Greg is a principal and consulting actuary with the Atlanta office of Milliman and directs the Property and Casualty practice. He joined the firm in 1988.
Experience
Greg has experience in a variety of areas, including insurance reserving, self-insured feasibility and funding studies, ratemaking/pricing, acquisitions analysis, direct response product development, reinsurance pricing and program design, underwriting, litigation support, and strategic planning.
Greg's clients include insurance and reinsurance companies, self-insured corporations, groups and governmental entities, insurance agents and brokers, associations, insurance departments, investment bankers, and attorneys.
Prior to joining Milliman, Greg was actuarial pricing officer for St. Paul Reinsurance in New York, handling casualty treaty business. Before this, he was a vice president of the Beneficial Insurance Group and an actuary for both John Hancock Reinsurance and Hanseco Insurance Company.
Affiliations
Greg has served as president of the Casualty Actuaries of the Southeast (CASE). He has also been the liaison between CAS and its regional affiliates. He has served on the CAS exam committee.
Presentations and publications
Greg has spoken at many insurance-related meetings and has authored a discussion paper for CAS dealing with excess pricing techniques in workers' compensation.
