Gregory Akselrud Greg Akselrud is a founder and partner of the firm. Greg received his B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles, and his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola Law School, where he also served as Executive Editor of Loyola s Entertainment Law Review. He is a member of the California Bar. Greg advises a wide range of both public and private clients, focusing on middle-market, emerging growth and development stage companies. Greg s practice involves providing advice in connection with general corporate matters (including company formation, stock incentive plans, executive employment agreements, and various commercial and business contracts), venture capital and angel financings, mergers and acquisitions (including public reverse mergers), private equity and debt securities offerings, public offerings, federal and state securities law reporting requirements, intellectual property strategic counseling, Internet and e-commerce matters, and technology, content and multimedia transactional matters. Greg possesses broad experience in serving as primary counsel to publicly-held companies, providing advice on all aspects of their business activities, including securities law compliance, corporate governance matters, public and private issuances of securities, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures and strategic alliances. Greg also has broad experience in counseling both public and private clients in reverse merger and/or exchange transactions with public shell companies (i.e., alternative public offerings), advising both private companies and public shell clients in each step of these transactions. Greg s practice also involves advising Internet, entertainment, peer-to-peer and other technology clients (both public and private) in a variety of matters arising on or in connection with the Internet and mobile broadband, from the protection of copyrights, trademarks, domain names and trade secrets, to general website operational matters (such as the preparation of website terms of use or service and privacy policies, and compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act), to broader Internet and e-commerce matters, and technology, content and multimedia licensing, distribution, and marketing matters, including, advising clients in connection with advertising and other revenue generation transactions, software and hardware bundling transactions, co-marketing transactions and co-branding transactions.
