Johnson�s primary area of responsibility is to lead the Civil Rights Division within VDOT. Her charge is to ensure that equal access is provided to protected classes of employees, contractors and patrons in terms of employment, business opportunities, and physical access.
She joined VDOT in 2006; prior to that, she started a consultant company (PERCEPTIONS), and held various positions with Siemens in community and public relations, media relations, human resources and accounting.
Education
Johnson received her bachelor�s degree in accounting from Norfolk State University.
Personal
She has received many awards and recognitions, including 2002 Community Star for Girls Inc., 1996 Fellow for the Sorenson Institute of Political Leadership, and a 1995 Fellow for the American Swiss Young Leaders. Grindly is from Chesapeake and enjoys reading murder mysteries and listening to music. |
