Hal has been involved in many aspects of the energy industry. He has advised clients on a wide range of energy transactional issues, including negotiating and documenting the sale and acquisition of energy industry assets and energy industry companies, including the purchase and sale of oil and gas properties, as well as the purchase and sale of gas processing plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, power plants, pipelines, and gathering systems. Hal also has worked with clients on such operational matters as drilling wells, designing and building petrochemical facilities, power plants, pipelines and platforms, performing environmental clean-up, developing energy-related construction projects and forming joint venture companies created to engage in the foregoing transactions. Prior to becoming an attorney, Hal worked as a petroleum engineer.
