J. Hallam Dawson is chairman of IDI Associates a private Latin American investment bank headquartered in San Francisco. From 1975 to 1984 he was with Crocker National Bank in San Francisco initially running its International Division and then serving as its president and a member of its board from 1980 to 1984. Prior to joining Crocker he was with The First National Bank of Chicago for 14 years serving in Chicago New York Mexico City and London.
Dawson is a past president of the California Bankers Association and of the Bankers' Association for Foreign Trade the leading international banking association. He graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Economics where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and is a Harvard Business School MBA graduate.
Dawson also serves as a director of OneCalifornia Bank a community development bank based in Oakland California and Chinatrust Bank (USA) the U.S. subsidiary of Taiwan's leading private-sector bank. |
