Dr. Sabbah is a tenured Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and the Director of Cardiovascular Research at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit. Laboratories directed by Dr. Sabbah include traditional biochemistry, molecular biology, cell electrophysiology, pathology and immunohistochemistry as well as organ and whole body physiology. He is the principal investigator on numerous research grants, awards and contracts from the National Institutes of Health, national and local health organizations as well as national and international industrial concerns. Dr. Sabbah is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Heart Association. He has authored over 20 book chapters, 300 peer reviewed publications and 500 abstracts presented at national and international scientific conferences. He is member of numerous local, state, national and international executive and scientific committees on cardiovascular disease and heart failure. Dr. Sabbah is member of the editorial board of several peer-reviewed scientific journals and is the co Editor-in-Chief of the journal Heart Failure Reviews. He received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a doctorate in Biomedical Sciences and Medical Physics from Oakland University. |
