Dr. Badawi joined AXT in July 2004 and was promoted to vice president of applications engineering in March 2005. Prior to AXT Dr. Badawi was with AmberWave Systems Corporation NH where he served for two years as vice president of engineering. Since 1981 Dr. Badawi has held management positions at ITT Grumman Aerospace Hughes Aircraft Anadigics Corp. and ATMI. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of GaAs 6 patents and over 30 technical papers in reputable journals. Dr. Badawi earned his BEE degree in 1969 and his Ph.D. degree in 1976 from the University of Alexandria Egypt and the University of Kent UK respectively. Dr. Badawi is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Member of the Electrochemical Society. He is also a member of the Technical Program Committee of the Compound Semiconductor MANTECH Conference and a member of the Compound Semiconductor Materials Committee of the SEMI Standards Program. |
