Hans Peter Ring, born on 15 January 1951, is EADS Chief Operating Officer for Finance. On top of his duties as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of EADS, he oversees various additional functions and operations in EADS and its affiliates. In January 2007 he also was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Airbus. He is a Member of the EADS Board of Directors and of the EADS and Airbus Executive Committee.
Prior to assuming the position of COO / CFO of EADS, Ring (since 1996) served as Senior Vice President of Controlling within the EADS predecessor Dasa and subsequently within EADS.
Ring began his career in 1977 at MBB as a management trainee in Budgeting and Accounting in their Military Aircraft Division. From there, he became Manager of Budgeting, Accounting and Public Audits.
Then, in 1987, Ring was named Head of Controlling for the Missiles business at MBB.
Three years later, after the creation of Deutsche Aerospace AG (Dasa), an EADS predecessor company, he was named Head of Controlling for the Aircraft and Defense Systems Divisions of the new company.
From 1992 to 1995, Ring was CFO and Member of the Board at Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH, the regional aircraft business within Dasa.
Ring has been Member of the Supervisory Board of m+w zander Holding AG (since 2002) and of European School of Management and Technology (since 2004). In addition to these positions, he has been a Member of the Advisory Council to the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology on External Economic Policy since 2004.
Hans Peter Ring received his degree in Business Administration from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1976. |
