Hans T. Koppen is executive vice president of Ingram Micro Inc. and president of Ingram Micro Europe. In this role, he provides direction for the company's operations in Europe to implement strategies, drive best practices and support profitable growth throughout the region. He was named to the position in March 2004. Koppen is based in Brussels, Belgium.
In the four years prior, Koppen served as president of Ingram Micro Asia-Pacific and was responsible for expanding operations in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Before that, he served as president of Ingram Micro Latin America, where he significantly expanded Ingram Micro's presence. Under his leadership, the integration of a major South American acquisition became one of the most successful in the company's history.
He served as president of the Latin American region of General Electric Capital Information Technology Solutions before joining Ingram Micro. In that role, he was instrumental in the acquisition and integration of resellers and distributors throughout the region. Also, he is a 24-year veteran of Control Data Corp. (CDC), where he held a variety of management positions in The Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Mexico.
Koppen studied economics at the University of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and earned a bachelor's degree in electronics from the Institute of Technology Rotterdam. He holds a master's degree in management science from Boston University. |
