As vice president of Nike global operations and technology, Hans van Alebeek is responsible for supply chain and information technology for Nike worldwide.
Before joining Nike, Hans worked for McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting company, from 1992 to 1998. From 1988 to 1992, he worked in business development for Indivers, an entrepreneurial holding company based in the Netherlands.
Outside of Nike, Hans enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, drinking wine, running to compensate for eating, and participating in the occasional marathon.
The defining moment in sports for Hans was the 1988 European Football Championship semi-final between Holland and Germany. Hans recalled how with eight minutes before the final whistle, Marco Van Basten slid a deep pass from Jan Wouters past the German goalkeeper. Holland won the game 2-1 and went on to win the championship. |
