As an associate consultant for Noel-Levitz, Harry L. Williams offers more than 20 years of higher education experience, mainly in the area of student recruitment. He is currently the interim associate vice president for academic affairs at the University of North Carolina.
Previously, Dr. Williams was the associate vice chancellor for diversity at Appalachian State University (NC), where he was responsible for implementing the university�s diversity plan. He works through the admissions office to increase the number of underrepresented students enrolling at the university. He also identifies strategies that will lead to a more diverse learning community on campus. Dr. Williams was the acting associate vice chancellor for enrollment services at Appalachian State as well, with responsibility for a budget of $2.5 million and approximately 85 personnel. Dr. Williams began his career at Appalachian State in 1988 and has served as an assistant director and associate director of enrollment services. From 2000-2002, he was the interim director of admissions at North Carolina A&T State University.
Education: Dr. Williams received an Ed.S. in Higher Education from Appalachian State University and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from East Tennessee State University. |
