Harry P. Kamen, age 73, was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company from April 1993 until his retirement in July 1998 and, in addition, was its President from December 1995 to November 1997. Mr. Kamen is a Trustee of the Granum Series Trust Fund and the Cultural Institutions Retirement System. He is on the Board of Advisors of the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. Mr. Kamen received a bachelor�s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Harvard Law School and attended the Senior Executive Program at M.I.T. He has been a Director of MetLife since August 1999 and a Director of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company since 1992.
