Harvey Weinstein is an audit partner with Shepard Schwartz & Harris LLP. He has worked extensively in the real estate industry and is also responsible for the firm�s not-for-profit organizations. His analytical expertise has been applied to a wide variety of accounting, tax and business consulting matters, including: Accounting and tax strategies related to the acquisition, financing, leasing/rental and sale of residential and commercial properties. Development of accounting, cost and internal control systems for residential and commercial real estate companies. Audit and tax services for real estate entities and not-for-profit organizations. Analysis and design of executive and employee compensation packages. Business valuations for gift and estate tax purposes, as well as marital dissolution cases. HUD and A-133 compliance audits for residential projects, property management companies and mortgage brokers/lenders. Recognized for his work on one of Chicago area�s largest and most successful residential community developments, Mr. Weinstein was bestowed an award by a home building industry client for his contributions to the success of the project. He was credited for creating the investment plan for purchasing the development parcel and devising the accounting methodology for the project, among other project attributes. Mr. Weinstein applies his analytical expertise to the dispute resolution arena as well. He has been engaged by legal counsel to provide expert analysis related to litigated matters involving executive compensation, Company�s sale residuals, divorce actions, embezzlement cases, partnership profit and asset allocation controversies, real estate valuation actions and warranty claims. Mr. Weinstein joined Shepard Schwartz & Harris in 1973. His prior experience includes five years in the audit department of a national accounting firm, where he focused on hotel and commercial real estate clientele. |
