Mr. Fisk is the corporate vice president, general counsel and secretary of Computer Sciences Corporation, and has had responsibility for all legal activities since February 6, 1989. He previously was vice president and associate general counsel for Sprint Corporation, where he held various legal and executive positions since 1968. He has served on a number of business, professional and civic boards, including: the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce; the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce (president); Newville Builders Supply & Manufacturing, Inc.; Dickinson College and the Hospital (vice chairman) in Carlisle, Pennsylvania; the United States Chamber of Commerce Government and Regulatory Affairs Committee; and the editorial board of Prentice Hall's Telematics. Mr. Fisk has served, by Commission appointment, on advisory councils to the Federal Communications Commission. Also, he served with Solicitor General Ted Olson on Vice President Quayle's/Attorney General Barr's Steering Committee for Civil Justice Reform.
Mr. Fisk is the recipient of the 2000 national American Corporate Counsel Association Excellence in Corporate Practice Award for professional accomplishments in corporate practice, personal integrity and commitment to the advancement of the in-house practice of law. He was President of the Southern California Chapter of the American Corporate Counsel Association in 1999 when the Chapter was recognized as the outstanding Chapter of the Year. He continues to serve on the Board of Directors of ACCA-SCC, as well as the national Boards of the American Corporate Counsel Association and the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. He currently serves on the editorial board of The Computer Lawyer. He is a long-term member of the Legal Advisory Council of the National Legal Center for the Public Interest, and is Chairman of the Atlantic Legal Foundation in New York City. Mr. Fisk has written extensively in legal journals and spoken before professional groups on the subjects of law department management, managing inside/outside counsel relationships, controlling litigation costs, the use of technology in the courtroom, and advanced trade secrets in business transactions. He has a BS degree in business administration-finance and a Juris Doctor of laws degree from the University of Kansas, and a master of laws degree in corporate law from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
