Heather L. Cain is an associate in the Corporate Law Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, S.C., Heather practiced intellectual property law and election law. Heather's intellectual property practice included trademark and trade name selection, adoption, registration and maintenance in the United States and foreign countries; trade dress protection in product packaging and distinctive appearances of products; advertising concerns, namely commercial defamation, false advertising claims, and comparative advertising issues; and country of origin labeling. Heather's election law practice included compliance of separate segregated funds and lobbyists and their principals with federal and state rules and regulations. Heather received her law degree cum laude from Marquette University and her Bachelor of Arts degree with honorary distinction in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin.
