Heather S. Case Professional Experience Heather Case is a Senior Attorney in the Firm's Real Estate Practice Group. Ms. Case has significant experience with residential and commercial real estate transactions including the representation of custom homebuilders and Condominium developers, as well as the representation of individual clients in both residential and commercial closings and leases. Her primary focus is the representation of Developers of planned residential communities and mixed-use projects. She counsels developer clients in the creation, marketing, and development of Condominium and Homeowner Communities throughout Florida, including the drafting of contracts, condominium documents and association covenants and restrictions, as well as converting rental communities and cooperatives to the Condominium form of ownership. She has a great deal of experience representing developers in complying with the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act, registering their projects with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Interstate Land Sales and preparing Statements of Record to be filed with HUD and the Property Reports to be given to prospective purchasers. Ms. Case also counsels Community Associations, including those which are both Developer and Unit Owner Controlled, on issues related to financial operations, application of community covenants and matters connected to pre and post turnover. Additionally, as a real estate practitioner, she spent several years representing property owners in the acquisition, leasing, financing and disposition of properties including industrial park, hotel, commercial office, and high-end residential properties. Her experience also includes the formation, governance and merger and acquisition of numerous and various business entities. |
