Helene Wasserman has spent her entire career practicing exclusively in the area of labor and employment law, representing clients of all sizes and in a wide variety of industries. She represents employers in litigation matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in all areas of employment law. Helene also counsels employers of all sizes in day-to-day employment relations issues such as hiring, discipline, and termination of employees, downsizing, workplace violence and compliance with all state and federal employment laws. In addition, she conducts in-house training on a wide array of topics.
Helene is frequently quoted in the media as an authority on labor and employment law matters. Most recently, she was published in Bloomberg Labor and Employment Law Report. Helene frequently lectures to a variety of employers and management groups on employment related subjects, and has been a featured speaker at lectures sponsored by the California Employment Development Department, M. Lee Smith, Council on Education in Management, California Employer Advisory Council, California's Continuing Education of the Bar, Lorman Educational Services, and the Litigation Section of the Los Angeles Bar Association.
Helene is a member of the American, Los Angeles County, Beverly Hills, San Fernando Valley and Federal Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law and Litigation Sections. She is currently a Committee Chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and served on the Executive Committee of the Litigation Section of the Los Angeles County Bar from 1998-2004. She is the past Chair of the Los Angeles County Bar's delegation to the State Conference of Delegates, the section affiliated with the State Bar of California that proposes and debates new legislation. Previously, she served as secretary and Vice-Chair. Helene served on the state-wide Resolutions Committee for that organization from 2004-2007, and is currently on the State Board of Directors of the Conference of Delegates. Helene is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and has also held a personal AV� Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell for the past ten years.
Helene is also a member of the California Restaurant Association and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. She is a life member of the A Sant� Chapter of the City of Hope National Medical Center. She is also a member of the City Club on Bunker Hill and has served on its Board of Governors.
