Hellmut Scheel As Vice President for Program Development, Hellmut Scheel is responsible for developing SGT s pipeline of new business opportunities, both with Civilian Agencies and the DoD, qualifying those opportunities, and positioning SGT to successfully capture new business. He joined SGT in September 2004 to focus specifically on growing SGT s Federal Civilian business. Mr. Scheel came to SGT from a mid-size NASA science and engineering company where he was the Vice President for Business Development. Mr. Scheel has over 30 years of diverse professional experience in the aerospace industry, managing large engineering and operations contracts for the U.S. Air Force and for NASA, and capturing new business for both large consulting firms and small business. As a former Principal at Booz Allen & Hamilton, he led the Firm s NASA business unit supporting Goddard Space Flight Center and NASA Headquarters. Previous to his commercial experience, he served a 20-year career as an Air Force officer with multiple assignments in the Air Force Systems Command. Mr. Scheel holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from New Mexico State University and a M.S. in Systems Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
