Helmut Scholz was born, raised and educated in Germany, where he made his debut in the hotel industry with the classic European apprenticeship training. During his 30+ years in hospitality, he progressed to manage Four- and Five-Star hotels and resorts throughout the world, including North America, Africa, Asia and Europe, and he developed, co-owned and managed a micro-brewery and restaurant. Helmut�s career path includes all aspects of hotel management (rooms division, food & beverage, sales & marketing, finance and accounting, project management, pre- and post opening, re-branding, major renovation and construction supervision, customer service training, organized labor negotiations etc.)
In 2003, Helmut played a leading role in his organization being awarded the highly coveted and prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, presented by U.S. President George W. Bush. A member of the Global Hoteliers� Club, he is fluent in English and German and has a working knowledge of French. |
