Helmuth T. Billy, M.D. is currently a practicing surgeon in Ventura, California and Zephyr Cove, Nevada. His specialties include advanced laparoscopic surgery, bariatric surgery, and thoracic surgery. Previously, Dr. Billy practiced general surgery at Sierra Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Associates in Lake Tahoe, California. He completed his General Surgery residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and was a resident in anesthesiology at Stanford University. Dr. Billy earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis where his research focused on Molecular Biology of the Mouse Mammary Tumor Virus. Dr. Billy is a recipient of the WSCI award for Outstanding Basic Science Research Abstract, maintains an active calendar as a clinical investigator, and has 11 publications to his credit.
