Henry served as Founder and Chairman of Global Health Care Partners, a unit of DLJ/CSFB private equity specializing in health care investments. In 1994, Henry retired as Chairman of SmithKline Beecham after completing a career of nearly four decades in the pharmaceutical, health care products and services industry. He is generally recognized as the principal architect of the successful merger creating SmithKline Beecham in 1989. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SmithKline Beckman prior to the merger with Beecham. Henry is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Computerized Medical Systems, Inc., and Arrail Dental (China) Ltd. and is a director of BioPartners, SA; Cambridge Laboratories, PLC; Wilson Greatbatch Technologies, Ltd.; Focus Technologies Inc.; and Prometheus Laboratories Inc. He also serves as Chairman of the Community Foundation of Sonoma County, Director of The Pacific Basin Institute at Pomona College, and as Trustee Emeritus of the American Enterprise Institute. Henry is a graduate of Princeton University. |
