Herbert D.Simons has been a director of XTO Energy Inc. since 2000. Mr. Simons serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Compensation, Corporate Governance and Nominating committees. He is an attorney specializing in federal income tax law and is of counsel with the law firm of Winstead Sechrest & Minick P.C. in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, he was an associate and partner in the law firm of Butler & Binion, L.L.P. from 1963 through 1999. Mr. Simons is a Certified Public Accountant and served as a member of the Rice University Accounting Council from 1981 until 1996. |
