Experience:
Mr. Krueger represents fund sponsors and institutional investors with respect to private equity funds with a particular focus on real estate private equity. He has represented many of the largest real estate investment managers with respect to domestic and global funds as well as large ERISA and governmental pension plans with respect to investments in such funds. Mr. Krueger is also active in trade associations and has represented a number of such groups with respect to industry-wide issues. He is recognized both in Chambers Global and Chambers USA as a leading lawyer for private equity fund formation.
ERISA fiduciary matters: Mr. Krueger represents pension plans, trustees and investment managers with respect to fiduciary matters and the design of investment entities and products for pension plans and other institutional investors, including joint ventures, limited partnerships, group trusts, bank collective trusts, insurance company separate accounts and REITs, advises on the application of the ERISA fiduciary rules and prohibited transaction rules to such arrangements, and represents clients in connection with prohibited transaction exemptions and Department of Labor enforcement matters.
Executive compensation: Mr. Krueger represents Boards of Directors, Compensation Committees, executives and corporations on employment issues and executive compensation, including negotiating and drafting employment agreements, change in control agreements, severance agreements, and consulting agreements, stock option and other equity-based incentive compensation, and deferred compensation plans. He is recognized in tier 1 of Chambers USA for executive compensation and benefits matters.
