Mr. Morey has over 40 years of experience as an accountant and auditor, with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, foreign-based accounting principles, accounting for off-balance sheet entities and bankruptcy/reorganization, as well as statutory and international accounting principles. Mr. Morey worked at Ernst & Young from 1962 to 2002, where he served numerous Fortune 500 clients across a wide variety of industries, concentrated primarily in consumer products, manufacturing and publishing. Mr. Morey is currently a Retired Partner of E&Y.
Mr. Morey has authored and edited a number of publications on accounting and investment-related issues. He has also served on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Audit Committee of several publicly-traded companies, including Emerson Radio Corp., Fedders Corp. and Freedom Acquisition Holdings.
Mr. Morey is a registered CPA in New York and California and is a member of the International Practice Committee of the AICPA. He received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of San Francisco. |
