Mr. Colting is the inventor and patent holder of the Spherical Airship design. He is currently president and CEO of 21st Century Airships, Inc. in Newmarket, Canada. Mr. Colting has over 30 years experience in Lighter Than Air design and manufacturing. He is a world-renown hot air balloonist and airship pilot and holds numerous world records for altitude and championship racing. Mr. Colting is responsible for research and development and has designed, built, and piloted 10 prototype spherical airships since founding 21st Century Airships, Inc. in 1988. In June of 2003, Mr. Colting set the new airship high altitude record at over 21,000' ASL in the latest prototype 60' diameter spherical airship.
