Howard A. Cohen is a member of the Corporate Restructuring Practice Group. Howard has extensive experience in major corporate restructurings and Chapter 11 cases in Delaware as well as other jurisdictions. He has represented debtors, creditors and lenders in a wide variety of restructuring situations. Recently, Howard has been involved in the representation of creditors� committees in the bankruptcy cases of Maxide Acquisition, Inc. and Proxim Corporation. Howard�s debtor represenations have included Waterlink, Inc. and The MIIX Group, Inc. On the creditor side, Howard has represented clients in cases such as Delphi Corporation, Sea Containers Ltd., Pliant Corporation, and Tower Records. Additionally, Howard acts as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants in various bankruptcy related litigation matters, including preference, fraudulent transfer and turnover actions.
Howard received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Florida State University in 1996, and his J.D. degree from Duke University School of Law in 1999. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Delaware, the Supreme Court of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. |
