Howard L. Schrott joined the Citizens Communications Company Board of Directors in July 2005. Mr. Schrott also serves on the Board of The Peace Center for the Performing Arts in Greenville South Carolina. Mr. Schrott is a former Director of Time Warner Telecom Inc.
Mr. Schrott was Chief Financial Officer of The Liberty Corporation a major group television broadcaster with 15 network-affiliated stations and other media investments from 2001 to February 2006.
Prior to joining Liberty he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Wink Communications (now a subsidiary of OpenTV Corp.) a leading interactive television company. For eight years he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Emmis Communications Corp. a major owner and operator of radio and television stations and magazines.
Previously Mr. Schrott was a Vice President in the media-lending group at First Union National Bank (now Wachovia). He practiced law in Washington D.C. and Indianapolis Indiana specializing in matters before the Federal Communications Commission and media-related business issues.
He holds a B.S. cum laude from Butler University and a J.D. magna cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law. |
