Mr. Siegel is the Co-Leader of Brown Rudnick�s Energy and Utilities Practice Group and an active member of the Firm�s Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Group. He represents clients in matters involving the acquisition, divestiture and financing of electric generation facilities; renewable energy project development and finance including monetization of carbon credits, RECs and other environmental attributes; bankruptcy and reorganization; corporate and real estate debt restructuring; state public utility commission regulatory proceedings; commercial, corporate and project finance; mergers, acquisitions and other business transactions; and asset valuation litigation.

Counsel to Official Committee of Equity Security Holders of Mirant Corporation in Chapter 11 proceedings pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Counsel to Official Committee of Equity Security Holders of Global Power Equipment Group Inc. in confirmed rights offering plan in Chapter 11 proceedings in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Currently serving as counsel to Connecticut Banking Commissioner in his capacity as the court-appointed receiver in the receivership of Circle Trust Company, a Connecticut state-chartered trust bank.
Represented J.P. Morgan Securities, Inc. as the exclusive asset sales manager, financial advisor and auction advisor for the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission in coordination with the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control in the $800 million sale of the 1161 MW Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant.
Advised C-Trade in its Philippines Clean Development Mechanism Biogas/Cogeneration project development and emission reduction purchase agreements.
Advised Wisvest-Connecticut, LLC, a Wisconsin Energy subsidiary, in its $270 million acquisition of the New Haven Harbor Station and Bridgeport Harbor Station electric generation facilities; served as its trial counsel in successful property tax litigation involving one of the first post-divestiture plant valuation cases tried to judgment.
Represented Ad-Hoc Committee of Senior Subordinated Noteholders of InSight Health Services Holdings Corp. in Pre-Packaged Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Represented J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. in its capacity as control premium valuation panel for the Public Utility Commission of Texas in the stranded cost true-up proceedings of Texas Genco/Centerpoint, PUC Docket No. 29526, involving electric generating facilities with aggregate capacity of 14,000 MW.
Representing AT&T Mobility (f/k/a Cingular Wireless) in pending Connecticut property tax assessment appeals involving the valuation of equipment related to its cellular and wireless businesses.
Counsel to Ad-Hoc Committee of Senior Secured Noteholders of Evergreen International Aviation, Inc. in $215 million tender offer.
Counsel for PSEG Connecticut LLC in pending property tax assessment appeals involving the valuation of the New Haven Harbor Station and Bridgeport Harbor Station electric generating facilities.
Served as legal advisor to Navigant Consulting, Inc. as the exclusive financial and transaction advisor to the Public Utility Commission of Texas for the AEP Texas Central Company divestiture of its 12 electric generation facilities consisting of natural gas, fuel oil, coal, hydro and nuclear units representing aggregate capacity of 4500 MW.
Counsel to Connecticut Natural Gas Company and Southern Connecticut Gas Company in Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control natural gas unbundling docket no. 05-05-10.
