Dr. Howard M. Shapiro is a recognized expert in the fields of pathology and flow cytometry, and is the author of the authoritative textbook on flow cytometry ("Practical Flow Cytometry"). Dr. Shapiro has held many distinguished positions in his career, including serving as the Chief of Flow Cytometry at the Sidney Farber Cancer Institute and as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute. He presently serves as a Lecturer in Pathology at Harvard Medical School and as a Visiting Scientist at the Rosenstiel Basic Medical Sciences Research Center at Brandeis University. He holds an appointment as a Research Associate in Medicine and Pathology at Beth Isreal Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Shapiro obtained his B.A. degree from Harvard University and his M.D. degree from the New York University School of Medicine. |
