Dr. Hsinchun Chen, Chief Technology Advisor, has over 15 years of IT engineering and marketing experience. Dr. Chen is McClelland Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of Arizona and head of the UA/MIS Artificial Intelligence Lab which he founded in 1990. Since started, the AI Lab has received over $8 million in federal funding for research projects in Artificial Intelligence from agencies and major corporations including the National Science Foundation (NSF), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Justice (NIJ), National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), SAP, 3COM, and AT&T. He is an expert in digital library and knowledge management research, whose work has been featured in various scientific and information technologies publications including Science, Business Week, NCSA Access Magazine, WEBster, and HPCWire. Dr. Chen received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from New York University. |
