Mr. Cooper is a co-founder of CoreVision Strategies, LLC. As a turnaround expert, he has led turnaround initiatives at under performing companies that included financial management, asset recovery, and organizational realignment. He has 27 years of diverse general management, operations and accounting experience, including 14 years in the practice of public accounting with a "Big 4" and local CPA firm. He has particular expertise in strategic planning and restructuring, records management, crisis management, general operations management, staff development and training, financial budgeting, forecasting and modeling, accounting policies and development of best practices procedures. Having worked as both an executive manager and professional, Mr. Cooper has become particularly skilled working in a crises environment. He knows how to drill down into the details, get to the heart of a problem, think "out of the box" to identify the solution and get the solution implemented timely and thoroughly. He has re-engineered accounting department functions to improve timely and accurate financial reporting, while improving internal controls, and moral. He knows how to identify asset recovery opportunities others miss. During the saving and loan crises of the late 1980s and early 1990s, he provided management and consulting services to the Resolution Trust Corporation throughout the United States. He assisted the regulators with the management and disposition of several financial institutions with combined assets of over $3 billion, assisted on several due diligence assignments, including the largest thrift failure in history and performed operational reviews of asset management contractors throughout the U.S. At one institution, he served as an Executive Vice President and Acting Chief Financial Officer and facilitated the requirements of over 100 attorneys throughout the United States. At one point he served simultaneously as CFO for three institutions with combined assets of over $300 million. Mr. Cooper began his professional career in 1976 after graduating from Florida Atlantic University with honors and received his CPA certificate in 1976. Throughout his career Mr. Cooper has always been active in various community and professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of CPAs and Leadership Broward. |
