Hugh Roberts is President, International Commerical, Kraft Foods, with responsibility for marketing and sales in all geographies outside the U.S. and Canada. Since 2001, Roberts had been Group Vice President of Kraft Foods International and President, Asia Pacific Region, based in Melbourne, Australia. Prior to this, Roberts had been President of the company's Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEEMA) Region since 1998. This was preceded two years earlier by his appointment as Executive Vice President Kraft Jacobs Suchard CEEMA Region.
Between 1992 and 1995, Roberts served in several senior management positions within Kraft Foods North America, including Executive Vice President & General Manager of Kraft USA's Grocery Products Division; Executive Vice President & General Manager of Kraft Foods Enhancers Division; Senior Vice President Efficient Consumer Response; and Senior Vice President Strategy. When Philip Morris Companies Inc. acquired Kraft Foods in 1988, Roberts led the integration of Kraft and General Foods in the United Kingdom, having joined Kraft's international operations in 1984.
Roberts began his career with the company in 1975 as a Sales Operation Information Analyst for Kraft Foods North America. He held a number of marketing positions in the company's dry grocery business, where he was named Vice
President Marketing in 1983. Roberts is an honors graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School. |
