Mr. Hung Nguyen is a seasoned executive and technologist with 21 years of experiences in semiconductor designs for wireless systems, optical drives and hard disk drives. He is a well-recognized authority in the fields of wireless communications and digital signal processing with over 22 patents. Mr. Nguyen joined Sigma Designs as the General Manager & VP of the Wireless Products Division through the acquisition of Blue7 Communications in February 2006. He was the Founder and CEO of Blue7, a privately-held company that developed the Ultra-Wideband Wireless chipsets for consumer electronics. Prior to founding Blue7, Mr. Nguyen worked at NeoMagic where he served as the Deputy General Manager & Sr. Director leading the marketing and engineering teams of the Optical Storage division. At NeoMagic he participated in a successful IPO and the Optical Storage division was later acquired by LSI Logic. Mr. Nguyen also held several management and engineering positions at Quantum Corporation and IBM. Mr. Hung Nguyen received a BSEE with distinction from University of Southern California and a MSEE from Santa Clara University. He was named Inventor of the Year at Quantum in 1995. |
