Hunter McGuire recently joined The John Bowles Company retail division in November, 2007, after beginning his professional real estate career at the Perry Guest Co. His building and land interests were formed as a young boy, growing up in a real estate, restaurant oriented family. His family brought Burger King to the state of Texas in the early 60's and since his mid teens, Hunter has been exposed to the restaurant industry and real estate acquisitions including Colters Barbecue restaurants throughout the metroplex as well as traveling to Germany to help open Colters on military bases.
A native Dallasite, Hunter attended Highland Park High School where he was active in sports and student government. His freshman year was spent at Denison College in Ohio on a Leadership Scholarship, followed by a Business/Liberal Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He then moved to Southern California where he gravitated to his management and restaurant roots as food and beverage manager for Club Corp of America, at Coto de Caza, a high volume restaurant and golf club.
Hunter returned to Dallas in late 2005 to join his family and friends, obtain his real estate license and pursue a career in real estate. He enjoys golf, tennis, participating in and supporting local charities such as Helps International and Oasis, along with his membership and interest in the Nasher Sculpture Center and the upcoming Performing Arts Center.
Hunter's focus is on landlord and tenant representation in the retail arena. |
