Huw has worked in the marketing industry for over twenty years, specialising in the strategic use of data. His approach to statistical modelling and data analysis is to provide solutions which are actionable rather than theoretical. He has worked both as a client at BUPA Health Insurance and Abbey National, as well as a consultant for a multitude of clients across the world.In 1989 Huw founded Data by Design, a consultancy specialising in data analysis and database design within marketing. Experian bought Data by Design in 1998. Since then Huw has worked at OgilvyOne Worldwide as General Manager for Data Consulting and as Group Director of Data Consulting for Claydon Heeley Jones Mason. He is now European Managing Director of EHS Brann Discovery, the data and consulting arm of EHS Brann, managing the delivery of solutions generated by his 65 consultants, statisticians, programmers and planners across Europe.Huw is one of the key lecturers on the IDM Direct Marketing Diploma course and for the last twelve years has taught the database, statistics and modelling units of the course. He is a regular global conference speaker for the Direct Marketing Association (UK & USA) and The Institute of Direct Marketing. |
