Mr. Georganas holds a degree in Economics from the School of Economics and Trade of Athens (ASOEE); he also attended the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard University Business School. He worked with the Greek Bank for Industrial Development (ETBA) from 1958 to 1991 and served from 1989 to 1991 as Vice-President and Member of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission. Since 1991, he has served as Executive Vice-Chairman of the board of directors of Piraeus Bank and since June 2000 he has been President of the Bank of Piraeus Audit Committee. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hellenic Exchanges Holding S.A. He also serves as a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of several financial, commercial and industrial companies. Since 2000, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of OTE and since May 2004 he has been its Vice-Chairman. |
