Ian J. Benjamin, CPA, is a Partner at Goldstein Golub Kessler LLP. He has 25 years of experience serving not-for-profit organizations including international, membership, cultural and educational organizations, as well as trade and professional associations. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Benjamin was a partner at Deloitte & Touche in their Tri-State Not-for-Profit and Higher Education Services Group. His clients have included employee benefit plans, manufacturing companies, real estate and investment companies. Mr. Benjamin is currently a member of the FASB working group on combinations of not-for-profit organizations and of the Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee and Professional Ethics Committee of the New York State Society of CPAs. He is a member of the Technical Standards Subcommittee of the Professional Ethics Executive Committee of the American Institute of CPAs. He was a member of the Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee of the AICPA when the current Audit and Accounting Guide for Not-for-Profit Organizations was first issued. A native of the United Kingdom, Mr. Benjamin is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and earned his B.A. in law from the University of Kent at Canterbury, England. |
