Ian has spent more than fifteen years working closely with senior executives and their teams across a broad range of industry sectors in the USA, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. In the nine years he has been with Senn-Delaney Leadership, he has worked with clients including Shell, JP Morgan Chase, BBC Worldwide, Kelloggs and Hutchison Whampoa. He is currently leading a worldwide process for the Global Manufacturing and Supply division for GlaxoSmithKline to assist the implementation of their Quality Management System. This involves 84 manufacturing sites in over 30 countries. He is also the leader of GlaxoSmithKline�s flagship global leadership development program, Leadership Edge. Ian has an eclectic professional background. Post-graduation, he worked with disadvantaged youths in the North West of England, which provided unusual and valuable experience in facilitation. He has a deep love of the outdoors that took him, post graduation, to live and work in the Mont Blanc region of the French Alps, leading groups to climb and ski. In the mid 1980�s, Ian made the transition into Leadership and Culture Change, initially at Brathay Hall in the UK. Ian founded his own consulting practice in 1990. Over a number of years, he successfully developed close relationships with a wide range of clients including Honeywell Bull, Rover Group, Asda, The Civil Aviation Authority, Associated British Foods, Lotus Cars, Zurich Financial Services and Eagle Star, and he devised and ran large scale assignments to deliver strategic and organizational requirements for all of them. During this period, Ian lectured at IMD in Lausanne and at Templeton College, Oxford. He also undertook some interesting assignments such as being team coach for a �round the world� yacht crew. This varied experience has provided him with a level of grounding and diversity that is useful in working effectively alongside a wide range of people in changing organizational environments. Throughout his career Ian�s focus has always been on creating outstanding team performance through harnessing the power of individuals. Ian is married with 3 children and lives in the UK. He is a keen sailor and still enjoys the mountains, regularly skiing with his family and has recently been on mountaineering trips to both the Antarctic and the Himalaya. |
