Dr. Ivanov founded Blue29 in 2001 and today serves as chief technology officer. He brings over 30 years of process and equipment expertise (CVD, PVD, electroplating, electroless plating) to guide the companys technical direction and vision.
Most recently, Dr. Ivanov was director of Process Development at Mattson Technology/Steag Electronic Systems where he managed the development of both copper electroplating equipment and processes. Prior to that, at RJ Lee Group, Inc., he led the process development and material research department involved in copper electroplating chemistry development, integration of atmospheric plasma etch technology of high-k dielectrics, development of vacuum arc deposition processes of dielectric and DLC films, and process integration of III-V diode lasers. He was responsible for a copper interconnect project at Advanced Micro Devices and was actively involved in process development programs at Applied Materials, Novellus, and Intel. Dr. Ivanov also served as an associate manager at Charles Evans & Associates.
Dr. Ivanov received his M.S. in Chemistry and his Ph.D. in Physics from St. Petersburg State University in St. Petersburg, Russia. He holds fourteen patents in semiconductor technologies and has published over 50 papers. He is a member of AVS, MRS, and IEEE.
