Irv Bell is a board member of Nationwide, a $160 billion diversified financial services organization based in Columbus, Ohio. He was first elected to the boards in 1998. He also serves on the boards of other Nationwide companies. Mr. Bell served as a state trustee of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation from 1991 to 1998 and as president from 1994 to 1998. He oversees the Bell family farm in Zanesville, OH. The farm is the hub of a multi-family swine network, in addition to grain and beef operations. He worked with the Ohio Extension Service prior to farming full time. Mr. Bell has represented the Ohio Farm Bureau at state and national level activities, and has traveled internationally representing Ohio agriculture. He holds a bachelor�s degree in agriculture from The Ohio State University and is a U.S. Navy veteran. In 1995, he was inducted into The Ohio State University Department of Animal Sciences Hall of Fame, and received the distinguished alumni award from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences in 2001.
