Isabella McCarthy, a pharmacist with more than two decades of clinical and management experience in healthcare, is Chief Operating Officer at Rose Medical Center.
She has held a variety of management positions at Rose since 1981, including: Director of Clinical Services and Pharmacy Director. Prior to joining Rose, McCarthy was a Resident at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Acting Director of Pharmacy and a Staff Pharmacist at Porter Memorial Hospital in Denver, respectively.
She earned a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1976 and a master's degree in Hospital Pharmacy from the University of Kansas in 1981. McCarthy completed an Executive Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania in 1989.
McCarthy served two terms on the Alliance of Professional Women's Board of Directors and has held numerous positions with both the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists and the Colorado Society of Hospital Pharmacists.
She has also been awarded several honors, including: Rose Manager of the Year; the Council of Working Women Award; a Squibb Scholarship; and a Lifemark Pharmacy Grant Award. McCarthy has published a number of articles in the American Journal of Hospital Pharmacy and presented research findings at medical conferences nationwide.
She is a member of Rose's Physician Satisfaction Team. |
