Ismael is a proven technology visionary and strategic business leader. He is the CEO of Intaglio, a Business process management company that he found in 1999. At Intaglio he secured three rounds of venture funding, put together the world-class engineering team that created a new breed of enterprise software - the first standards-based business process management system (PMS). He has a track record spearheading partnerships and industry alliances. In 2000 he founded the Business Process Management Initiative (BPI.orgy), where as a Chairman he initiated the development of several BM and Web Service Orchestration specifications like BONN (Business Process Modeling Notation - a standardized graphical notation for drawing business processes in a work flow) and Web Service Choreography Interface (SCI). For the last year he is authoring IT|Redux-New Rules for a New IT World, a web log dedicated to the new trends and radical changes in the IT industry today, where he was first to coin the term Office 2.0. Ismael has Engineering Degree in Computer Science from Ecole Nationale Sup?eure des Mines de Nancy. He studied parallel and distributed computing at l'Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon (France). He is also a contemporary furniture designer, certified scuba diving instructor and a Single Engine Land Private pilot. |
