Ivan Deutsch is a partner in the Firm's General Practice Group, with a particular focus on transactions related to the real estate industry. Mr. Deutsch has experience in mortgage, mezzanine, preferred equity and structured lease financings; joint ventures for the ownership and development of real property; and sales and acquisitions of real property and real estate companies. Notable transactions include assisting in the representation of: the Tisch and Mara families (owners of the NY Football Giants) and the New York Football Giants, Inc. in the new $1+ billion joint venture with the NY Jets to develop a new football stadium and entertainment and retail complex in the Meadowlands, NJ; an international consortium of investors (the Goldman Sachs Whitehall Funds, the Niarchos and Agnelli families and David Rockefeller) in the sale of Rockefeller Center; The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. in its purchase, financing and development of real property located in Jersey City, New Jersey; Goldman Sachs Mortgage Company in connection with mortgage and mezzanine loan originations and refinancings; Vornado Realty Trust in a variety of acquisitions, joint ventures and financings; and transactions involving various Pritzker Family members and related entities. Mr. Deutsch joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1996 and became a partner of the firm in 2005. |
