Ivan G. Marrero is a Capital Member of the Firm and Vice Chairman of the Corporate Practice Group. He is also Chairman of the firm's Corporate & Public Finance Practice Area, and part of the Retail Industry Practice Area.

Mr. Marrero's practice includes corporate, banking, securities and trademark law.
Education
He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, cum laude, from the University of Maryland in 1993. He obtained a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1996. Mr. Marrero joined the Firm in 1994 as a law clerk, and in 1996 became an associate attorney. In 1998, he rejoined the Firm's Corporate Department after obtaining a Master of Laws in Corporate Law from the New York University School of Law. In 2001, he became a partner of the Firm, and from 2003 through 2006 was the Chairman of the Firm's Recruiting Committee. In 2006 he was named Vice Chairman of the Firm's Corporate Practice Group.
