Mr. Reich is an experienced commercial attorney with broad experience in complex commercial business and corporate disputes. He has extensive experience in Bankruptcy Landlord-Tenant Matters and Debtor-Creditor claims and has represented small, medium and large businesses and individuals. Mr. Reich served as counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of Tutor Time Learning Systems, Inc. (Ft. Lauderdale) and Conseco Finance Corp. (Chicago). Activities & Memberships Mr. Reich served on the Florida Bar Journal Editorial Board, and is a member of the Bar's Business Litigation Committee and Vice Chair of the Judicial Evaluation Committee. Mr. Reich is active with the Commercial Law League of America, the nation's oldest and largest creditors rights organization, where he serves as the Chair of the Southern Region and Chair Elect of the Bankruptcy Section. He is also on the Board of Governors and is the Immediate Past Chair of the Young Members Section. Mr. Reich is a member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers (Secretary, Commercial Section, 1994-1995; Board Member, Young Lawyers Section 1994-1995; Chair, Commercial Litigation Section 1996-1997; Board of Directors, 1995-97). In addition, he is an active member of the community serving as Chair of the Miramar Pembroke Pines Regional Chamber of Commerce and held other offices including (Board of Directors, Counsel of Record and Chair, Government Relations Committee, 1997-1998). He serves on the Board of Directors and is Legal Counsel for the David Posnack Hebrew Day School. He also actively participates with the City of Pembroke Pines Economic Development Board (1997-present), Broward County Executive Committee, South Broward Jewish Federation Young Leadership Division, B'nai B'rith (Youth Organization Adult Advisory Board, Leadership Action Network, and Justice Unit), and Kensington at Chapel Trail Homeowner's Association (Vice President, 1994-95). He also has served on the Board of his synagogue, Beth Ahm Israel (1996-1998). Mr. Reich is also involved with the National Conference of Community and Justice ("NCCJ") to implement a prejudice identification and reduction program within Broward County's elementary schools. Mr. Reich is a graduate of the Miramar/Pembroke Chamber of Commerce's Leadership program, Political Training Institute, and the prestigious Leadership Broward program. Mr. Reich was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the community and the Chamber of Commerce by the Miramar/Pembroke Chamber of Commerce when he received both their annual Pinnacle and Chairperson's Awards. He worked as a staff member on the United States Senate Governmental Affairs Committee for now Vice President Albert Gore, Jr., and worked on Vice President Gore's 1984 senatorial and 1988 presidential campaigns. |
