~Ivan Hand joined Money Management International (MMI) as President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2000. Under his leadership, MMI has grown to be the largest full-service non-profit debt, budget and housing counseling organization in the country, with six call centers and over 125 branch office locations in twenty-two states. Prior to joining MMI, Mr. Hand was the Chief Operating Officer of Furmanite Worldwide, an international industrial services company. He has also served as President of Marine Shale Processors, an environmental firm, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Advanced Communications and Information Services, a technology company. Mr. Hand has also held senior level positions with Exxon Corporation, both in the United States and internationally, including serving as a director of Esso Company United Kingdom, Chairman of Exxon�s credit card operations in Europe, Chairman of Dart Oil (an Exxon subsidiary), and Chairman of Esso Ireland. Mr. Hand has served on a number of boards, including the Board of Directors of Advanced Communications and Information Services and the Board of Trustees for the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. He currently sits on the Government Relations Committee for the Greater Houston Partnership and the Advisory Council for George Washington University�s Financial Services Research Program. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Money Management International Financial Education Foundation. Mr. Hand earned a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University, participated in the MBA program in Marketing/Management at the University of Louisiana, and has taken courses in international studies at the Brookings Institution. |
