Experience:
Ivan Kane focuses his practice on real estate acquisition, development and financing. He represents developers, corporations, institutions and individuals in the purchase and sale of commercial real estate; various development and predevelopment activities, including annexation, zoning, and other land use approvals; negotiations involving acquisition, construction, interim, and permanent loans; leasing; and other real estate needs.
Ivan also represents banks, insurance companies, savings and loans, and other financial institutions in acquisition, construction, interim, and permanent mortgage loans for office buildings, hotels, multi-family properties, single-family construction and other types of property. He has extensive experience with miscellaneous real estate-related financing. He is also experienced with workouts, restructurings, deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure and other transactional resolutions to distressed debt situations.
Ivan was one of 114 individuals nationwide named to the 2005 BTI Client Service All-Star Team, which honors attorneys identified by their Fortune 1000 clients as providing outstanding client service. His clients have praised him for his ability to work calmly and confidently in deals (Chambers USA 2007).
