Ivan King was named Vice President, Research and Development, in January 2004. He joined Vion in October 1995 as the Director of Biology and was promoted Senior Director in April 1997 and to Vice President, Research, in July 1998. Before joining Vion, Dr. King was Section Leader of Tumor Biology at Schering-Plough Research Institute and Senior Scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., respectively. Dr. King was previously trained at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. King has 19 years of experience in cancer research with the last 12 years having been in research and managerial positions within pharmaceutical companies. Dr. King has co-authored more than 40 publications on the various stages of anticancer drug research and development. |
