Ivy Thomas McKinney is deputy general counsel for Xerox Corporation, Stamford Conn. She was appointed to this position in September 2004 and was named a vice president of the corporation in December 2004.
McKinney is responsible for directing certain aspects of Xerox's legal operations including litigation support for human resources and employee benefits.
McKinney joined Xerox in July 1984 as an attorney with Xerox's special litigation task force. She has since held a variety of positions including counsel for Eastern and Coastal operations, and senior counsel for litigation supporting human resources, the Office Document Products Group and Worldwide Business Services. She held the position of associate general counsel for litigation, human resources and business operations from 2000-2004.
Prior to working for Xerox, she was with the New York City law firm of Dewey, Ballantine, Bushby, Palmer & Wood.
McKinney attended Princeton University where she received a bachelor of arts degree in politics in 1977. In 1980, she received a juris doctor degree from Yale Law School. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel. She is licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut, and is also admitted in the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and several federal district courts. |
